J7 Ranch : Bulls

The ultimate goal in our business is to produce cattle that work under tough Texas range conditions and increase profits for the commercial cattleman. We offer a selection of outstanding black Angus bulls ready to go to work for you. Breeding under range conditions requires a sire that is athletic and mobile. Our bulls are raised in the pasture over hilly and rocky terrain. They are conditioned to service cows quickly and efficiently.

Profitability starts with a healthy calf. We use our bulls on our own 500-head commercial cow herd, and the genetics we have developed over the years assures a low birth weight calf, with high weaning and yearling weights. Our bulls come out of some of the best seedstock in the industry including G13 Structure, Gridmaker, New Design 878, BR New Design 036, Connealy Bottomline, BAR Ext Traveler 205, New Design 323, and TC Advantage.

Our bull breeding strategy is straightforward:
• Develop bulls with EPDs to produce low birth weight calves. Calving-ease is a criteria.
• Bulls must have genetics to produce superior weaning and yearling weights.
• They must be gentle, “stay at home” bulls.

Our bulls range in age from 18 to 24 months of age. They are in excellent condition and ready to go to work. We typically have 15-25 bulls available at all times.

We provide free delivery within 100 miles of the ranch.
